Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time salaried capacity, the 508 Compliance Specialist will format, review, and ensure Section 508 compliance on various reports and digital assets, collaborating with teams to enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct automated and manual remediation for Section 508 compliance on reports and digital assets
- Fix and format documents, including PDFs and Microsoft Office files, to meet accessibility standards
- Test user interfaces for accessibility using screen readers and keyboard navigation
Required qualifications
- Degree in English, technical writing, journalism, communication, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable
- Experience with Section 508 compliance and document remediation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and SharePoint
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat Pro
