A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research insurance issues, and ensure the resolution of claim problems to facilitate payments.
Key responsibilities
- Following up on unresolved claims and identifying reasons for non-payment
- Utilizing phone calls and insurance websites to check claim statuses and take appropriate actions
- Managing patient balances as assigned and completing various special projects
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Experience in medical billing and hospital claims preferred
- Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to work independently
- Prior office experience where problem-solving and research were key to success
- Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
