A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research issues related to claims, and ensure resolution for payment and closure of balances.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on unresolved claims and check claim status through phone calls and insurance websites
- Identify reasons for non-payment and take appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Follow up on assigned patient balances and complete other duties as assigned
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and research skills
- Prior office experience where problem solving was a key focus
- Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
