A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, conduct research on insurance issues, and resolve claim discrepancies to ensure timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on unresolved claims and check status via phone calls and insurance websites
• Identify reasons for non-payment and take actions to resolve issues effectively
• Assist with patient balance follow-ups and complete other assigned duties as needed

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Medical billing experience is helpful, with a preference for hospital claims and healthcare receivables experience
• Prior office experience focused on problem solving and research is necessary
• Ability to summarize important account details concisely in notes
• Familiarity with computer systems and a reliable home internet connection is required for remote work
