A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research issues related to insurance payments, and support various special projects within the revenue cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status via phone and insurance websites
• Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking actions to resolve issues for payment closure
• Managing assigned patient balances and completing other related duties as needed

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to work independently
• Prior office experience where problem-solving was a key component
• Familiarity with summarizing account details concisely in notes
