A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research insurance issues, and ensure resolution of claim discrepancies.
Key responsibilities
- Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status through calls and insurance websites
- Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking actions to resolve issues effectively
- Managing patient balances as assigned and completing other related duties as required
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (insurance collections) experience is required
- Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to work independently
- Prior office experience where problem-solving and research were key to success
- Proficiency in summarizing account details concisely in notes
