ABA Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated ABA Authorization Specialist for a full-time hybrid or remote role, who will manage insurance authorizations, provide excellent customer service, and ensure efficient access to services for clients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephones and deliver exceptional customer service to professional staff and insurance representatives
• Ensure all authorization requests are documented clearly and track authorizations for patients requiring pre-authorization
• Provide accurate updates to management on the status of authorizations and participate in the orientation of new employees in the Authorization department

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum of one year of experience in health care billing and/or authorization practices
• General knowledge of home care framework and healthcare operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to learn industry-specific software
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
