Job Summary
To support the development of innovative educational content, the remote Academic Designer will plan and create high-quality curriculum materials for secondary literacy programs, collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with educational standards and project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and developing content for teacher and student materials, including lessons and resources
- Assisting in the creation of prototypes, guidelines, and project documentation
- Acting as a liaison between vendors, engineering teams, and Academic Design teams
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in literacy curriculum development and educational publishing focused on grades 6-12
- Teaching experience is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of literacy standards and pedagogical trends, particularly for English language development
- Expertise in digital learning tools and content development practices
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and experience with digital authoring systems is a plus
