Job Summary

Providing academic instructional support services, the part-time Online Software Development Academic Support Specialist will work remotely with students in coding and programming courses, assisting them with coursework and study skills while maintaining evening and weekend availability.

Key responsibilities

• Working one-on-one with students to enhance their academic skills and assist with coursework
• Engaging in tutoring strategies and providing academic technology support to troubleshoot issues
• Documenting session notes and performing outreach to students needing additional academic support

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science-related program from a regionally accredited institution
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience within the past 5 years
• Proficiency in key programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and JavaScript
• Experience with software development tools like Git/GitHub and debugging strategies
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
