Accessibility Specialist
Job Summary
To ensure websites and applications are accessible to users with assistive technologies, the full-time Accessibility Specialist will act as a subject matter expert on WCAG guidelines, collaborate with developers and QA engineers on best practices, and conduct audits and user reviews in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on accessibility and provide regular audit reviews for compliance with best practices
- Collaborate with Sales staff to customize accessibility service solutions and provide business-oriented recommendations
- Conduct audits and expert reviews, preparing and reporting feedback from user reviews and WCAG audits
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a professional Accessibility specialist capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Deep technical knowledge of accessibility and ability to provide code-level remediation
- Experience with assistive technologies and WCAG checkpoints
- Consulting agency experience with strong customer-facing skills
