Accessibility Specialist
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time Accessibility Specialist will act as a subject matter expert on accessibility standards, collaborate with developers and QA engineers, and conduct audits and user reviews, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as a go-to SME on accessibility and WCAG guidelines, providing audit reviews for internal compliance
- Collaborate with sales staff to customize accessibility service solutions and offer business-oriented recommendations
- Conduct audits and expert reviews, preparing and reporting feedback from user reviews and WCAG audits
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a professional accessibility specialist capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Deep technical knowledge of accessibility and ability to provide code-level remediation
- Experience with assistive technologies and WCAG checkpoints
- Consulting agency experience with strong customer-facing skills
