Account Director, Public Affairs

Job Summary

Leading client relationships and major public affairs programs, the full-time Account Director, Public Affairs will manage strategic communications initiatives, engage with stakeholders, and supervise a team while working in a hybrid remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day client relationships and manage expectations on project scope and outcomes
• Develop high-priority client materials and prepare executives for stakeholder engagements and media interactions
• Design and manage coalition and stakeholder engagement programs while monitoring the policy landscape for client opportunities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, political science, public policy, journalism, or a related field
• Minimum of seven years of experience in public affairs or policy communications
• Working knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process and government audiences
• Demonstrated experience in building coalitions and managing complex programs
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor team members effectively
