Account Follow-Up Representative

Job Summary

To support the resolution of outstanding insurance balances, the full-time remote Account Follow-Up Representative will manage hospital patient accounts, conduct research on claims, and collaborate with third-party payors to ensure timely payment.

Key responsibilities:

• Timely follow-up on outstanding insurance payments for hospital patient accounts, including verifying claim statuses and rebilling as necessary
• Analyze and resolve denial trends while managing an average of 40-50 accounts per workday
• Gather necessary information for claims resolution and assist in training new hires on processes

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of experience in a related field, particularly in revenue cycle processes
• Knowledge of insurance follow-up processes and healthcare reimbursement methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing high-pressure situations
