Accountant
Job Summary
To support the financial operations of a healthcare system, the full-time remote Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, manage journal entries, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Prepares, reconciles, and analyzes routine and complex financial statements and reports
- Conducts compliance verification and assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and annual audits
- Manages grant accounting functions, including financial reporting and budget administration for grants
Required qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college with a major in accounting or a related field
- One to three years of general ledger experience in an automated environment preferred
- Strong spreadsheet skills, particularly in Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting systems
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and integrity
