To ensure accurate accounting and reporting of sales and gross margin, the full-time hybrid Accountant I - Ohio Licensed will manage journal entries, balance procedures, and support audit requests while utilizing SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Record weekly entries related to gross margin and analyze data for performance insights
- Assist in the monthly closing of gross margin components and investigate discrepancies
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits while handling tax-related inquiries
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Proficiency in SQL and data management tools such as Google BigQuery
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling
