Accounting Analyst II

Job Summary

Supporting the corporate accounting team, the remote Accounting Analyst II will ensure accurate recording and reporting of grant funding and governmental awards while contributing to process improvements and compliance audits.

Key responsibilities

• Determine appropriate accounting treatment for grant awards and monitor related activities for accurate general ledger recording
• Prepare detailed reports and journal entries related to grant funding and respond to financial and compliance audit requests
• Analyze financial statement variances, reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with 4+ years of corporate or public accounting experience
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
• Experience in researching and applying accounting guidance to complex transactions
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
