Job Summary
To support the Rights Management team, the remote Accounting Assistant will maintain profit share and royalties records, perform analysis for profit share contracts, and prepare author payment statements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update profit share and royalties records in SAP
- Perform analysis for profit share contracts to ensure timely and accurate recording of advances, earnings, and expenses
- Liaise with various departments to resolve issues regarding statements, contracts, or advances
Required qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Word
- Business, finance, and/or accounting background preferred; prior publishing experience is a plus
- A proactive and self-governing approach to work
- Ability to apply organizational methods and strategies to meet deadlines
