Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support a growing medical billing team, the full-time Accounts Receivable Representative will manage denied claims by communicating with insurance companies, writing appeals, and collaborating with team members in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Call insurance carriers to obtain timely processing of patient claims and address inquiries related to unpaid insurance claims
• Write and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims while maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Utilize multiple practice management systems to prioritize accounts and ensure efficient accounts receivable management

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
• Experience with large EMR software such as Epic, NextGen, HST, Athena, or Cerner is highly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Exceptional customer service mindset with a focus on quality delivery
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a competitive environment
