Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management team, the remote Accounts Receivable Representative II will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, processing appeals, and maintaining accurate records while meeting productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status on outstanding claims and process appeals as needed
• Work through assigned accounts receivable queues, ensuring a high accuracy rating on audited accounts
• Identify trends in accounts and communicate findings to leadership while maintaining confidentiality

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration is preferred
• 1-3 years of professional experience in healthcare and accounts receivable is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and medical terminology
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
• Skilled in computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
