Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the part-time Accounts Receivable Representative II will manage the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, working primarily remotely while being available for on-site duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status on outstanding claims and process appeals as necessary
• Maintain productivity standards and accuracy ratings while managing assigned work queues
• Identify trends in accounts receivable and communicate findings to leadership

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration is preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or healthcare preferred
• Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and medical terminology
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and basic math skills
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
