Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable for insurance claims, the full-time Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist will ensure compliance with billing guidelines, handle collections through payer portals and phone lines, and perform follow-ups on outstanding receivables while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Submit timely and accurate claims to health insurance carriers, including electronic and paper billing
• Monitor and resolve unpaid, rejected, and denied claims, preparing necessary appeals and adjustments
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate processing and payment of claims

Required qualifications

• Experience with Medicare and Medicare Advantage billing
• Knowledge of health insurance claims processing and denial management
• Ability to handle confidential information in a HIPAA-compliant manner
• Strong analytical skills for account resolution and claims follow-up
• Experience with payer portals and electronic billing systems
