Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable processes, the full-time Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist will ensure compliance with billing guidelines, handle collections through payer portals and phone lines, and perform claims submissions and appeals while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Timely and accurate submission of claims and appeals to health insurance carriers for various health plans
• Monitoring, researching, and resolving unpaid, rejected, and denied claims while documenting collection activities
• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and addressing inquiries from patients and insurance companies

Required qualifications

• Experience with health insurance billing, denials, and appeals processes
• Ability to manage confidential information in a HIPAA-compliant manner
• Strong analytical skills to determine account resolution actions
• Familiarity with payer websites and clinical applications for claims processing
• Proven ability to prepare and submit accurate appeals and corrections as needed
