Job Summary

Ensuring the timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist II will verify patient eligibility, update insurance information, and conduct research on unpaid claims while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Verifies patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services through various methods
• Conducts research on unpaid or denied claims and communicates with payers to secure payments
• Updates patient demographics and documentation while adhering to compliance guidelines

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience with accounts receivable software and navigating payer sites
• Knowledge of medical business office procedures and third-party payer billing practices
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with payers and document encounters accurately
