Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Analyzing collections and resolving complex billing inquiries, the full-time remote Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage claim follow-ups, process appeals, and ensure compliance with billing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on claim rejections and denials to secure appropriate reimbursements
• Process assigned AR work lists and write appeals to resolve claim denials efficiently
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding the status of outstanding claims and perform research on patient accounts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in medical billing and claims resolution preferred
• AAHAM and/or HFMA certification preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of medical billing rules and insurance processes
• Proficiency in billing software within five weeks of employment
