Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable in compliance with billing guidelines, the full-time Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist will be responsible for the collection of outstanding receivables, accurate billing of insurance claims, and follow-up on denied claims while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Submit timely and accurate claims and appeals to health insurance carriers, ensuring compliance with payer requirements
• Monitor, research, and resolve unpaid, rejected, and denied claims while documenting collection activities in the billing system
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper processing and resolution of claims and inquiries from patients and payers

Required qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable or medical billing preferred
• Knowledge of insurance claims processing and payer guidelines
• Ability to analyze accounts and determine appropriate actions for resolution
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and handling of confidential information
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in billing and documentation processes
