Job Summary
To support the Customer Service department, the part-time Act 34 Licensed Patient Access Monitor will respond to patient billing inquiries via the MYUPMC portal, manage data integrity tasks, and assist with financial education, all while working remotely for 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to patient billing inquiries and maintain data integrity through report reviews and corrections
- Act as a resource for staff regarding financial education for patients and assist in the registration process during high volume periods
- Confirm insurance benefits and investigate accounts for compliance issues as needed
Required qualifications:
- Completion of high school education required
- Associate degree in Computer Science or a healthcare-related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in the Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, or computer environment position required, or equivalent combination of experience or education
- Strong technical and analytical skills are essential
- Act 34 certification is required
