Actuarial Manager - Medicare Advantage

Job Summary

Leading monthly actuarial results for Medicare value-based care programs, the remote Actuarial Manager - Medicare Advantage will reconcile payer settlements, support month-end financial reporting, and coach analysts while driving high-priority analyses without direct people-management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Owns the monthly results process for ACO REACH and Medicare Shared Savings Program populations, including data intake and projections
• Coordinates with actuarial and business leaders for the transition from ACO REACH to ACO LEAD and consolidates financial results for presentation to regional finance leaders
• Analyzes claims estimates, leads project intake and prioritization, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance actuarial processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required
• 6+ years of actuarial experience required; 8+ years preferred
• Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage and value-based care concepts required
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and handling large datasets, particularly medical claims, required
