Acute Claim Biller

Job Summary

Responsible for day-to-day business office services, the full-time Acute Claim Biller will process claims for Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics, manage patient billing and collections, and ensure compliance with established procedures while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate business office functions including patient billing, credit and collections, and data entry
• Implement procedures for billing, collections, and follow-up on third-party approvals
• Assist management in coaching and training employees while maintaining quality customer service standards

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of full-cycle billing experience, including Acute Hospital and Physician claims
• Experience with claims and denial work queues
• Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks E.M.R
• Familiarity with Commercial, Workers Comp, and VA claims
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
