Adjunct English Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated Adjunct English Instructor, the part-time remote position will deliver high-quality asynchronous instruction for undergraduate English courses, engage with students through feedback and virtual office hours, and maintain accurate records of student progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate undergraduate English courses in a fully remote, asynchronous format using the Canvas Learning Management System
• Provide timely and substantive feedback on student assignments and maintain a presence in discussion boards to foster community
• Hold virtual office hours to assist students with course content and writing development

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in English, with no exceptions for degrees in related fields without 18 graduate hours specifically in English
• Proven track record of teaching English at the collegiate level in both traditional and online environments
• Ability to navigate and troubleshoot asynchronous learning platforms and digital grading tools
• A professing Christian committed to the university's mission of educating students for Christian service and leadership
• Active involvement in a local church and/or Christian community
