Job Summary
To support the undergraduate program, the part-time Adjunct Faculty - Cognitive Science will teach one asynchronous online section of PSYB357E Cognitive Science during the spring semester of 2027, focusing on high-level mental processes and their associated brain activity.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment while preparing for and teaching the course
- Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System to provide course materials and grade assignments, offering timely feedback to students
- Hold weekly office hours and attend one faculty meeting per semester, as requested
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related field
- Familiarity with course content and professional teaching methods
- Understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression and their impact on equity and access
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive community through professional development
- Experience with a Learning Management System such as Canvas and at least one semester of university-level teaching experience
