Adjunct Faculty, English and Rhetoric

Job Summary

To support a growing educational community, the part-time Adjunct Faculty, English and Rhetoric will deliver high-quality instruction in synchronous or asynchronous seminars, maintain virtual office hours, and engage in professional development while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide a student-centered learning environment to facilitate student success
• Teach assigned courses and maintain timely communication with students and faculty
• Participate in faculty governance and curriculum development as needed

Required qualifications:

• Terminal degree in English, Rhetoric, Technical, Professional, or Digital Writing or a closely related field, plus 18 graduate credit hours in relevant writing disciplines
• 1-3 years of related practical/professional experience, with a preference for online higher education teaching experience
• Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and Zoom
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and time management skills
