Adjunct Faculty - Virginia Licensed

Job Summary

Seeking qualified individuals, the part-time Adjunct Faculty - Virginia Licensed will be responsible for planning and teaching Professional or Technical courses in Applied Science or Non-Associate Degree Occupational Fields, both in-person and online, at Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg.

Key responsibilities:

• Effectively plan and teach courses in various modalities, including classroom, laboratory, and online settings
• Engage with students and maintain consistent communication to support their success in the learning environment
• Collaborate with diverse colleagues and community members to promote a culturally respectful and inclusive educational experience

Required qualifications:

• Master's Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline or an Associate's Degree for Career and Technical Education Courses
• Demonstrated ability to use relevant technology and learning management systems for teaching and assessment
• Commitment to student engagement and virtual support mechanisms in an online teaching environment
• Access to necessary technology (WIFI, computers) to facilitate remote teaching
• Competency and commitment to continuous professional development in the field
