AI Developer Experience Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the developer experience for AI tools, the full-time remote AI Developer Experience Engineer will build and maintain integrations with AI coding tools, create documentation and demos, and measure the effectiveness of AI interactions with PlanetScale databases.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain plugins for PlanetScale across various AI marketplaces and directories
- Test and ensure the functionality of the PlanetScale MCP server and CLI with AI coding tools
- Create documentation, demos, and content to educate users on effectively utilizing AI with databases
Required qualifications
- Experience building an MCP server, plugin, CLI, or SDK for developers
- Software engineering background in languages such as TypeScript and Go
- Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and schema design
- Experience in writing documentation, blogs, or creating video content
- Daily use of AI coding agents with a strong understanding of their functionalities
