AI Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of large language models and intelligent automation capabilities, the remote AI Engineer will implement production systems, contribute to design discussions, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver reliable AI-enabled features, with a preference for East Coast candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical direction for AI-enabled systems in partnership with senior engineers and the architecture team
- Build production-quality Python services, pipelines, and integrations that apply LLMs to internal and product challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and contribute to the roadmap for future AI capabilities
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of software engineering experience, including at least one year on AI- or ML-backed systems
- Strong Python skills for production services and data pipelines
- Experience building retrieval-augmented systems and familiarity with enterprise data architectures like Databricks and Azure/AWS
- Production experience in a regulated industry, with knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, or NIST
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
