AI Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of large language model and intelligent automation capabilities, the remote AI Engineer will build production-quality Python services, integrate LLM APIs, and collaborate with senior engineers to implement reliable AI-enabled features, with a preference for East Coast candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical direction for AI-enabled systems in partnership with senior engineers and the architecture team
- Build production-quality Python services and integrations that apply LLMs to internal and product challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and contribute to the roadmap for customer-facing AI capabilities
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of software engineering experience, including at least one year on AI- or ML-backed systems
- Strong Python skills for production services and data pipelines
- Experience with retrieval-augmented systems and familiarity with enterprise data architectures like Databricks and Azure/AWS
- Production experience in a regulated industry, with knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, or NIST
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
