Job Summary
To drive the Ethical and Human Impact program, the full-time AI Ethics Lead will develop and implement an AI Ethics Framework, serve as an independent ethics authority, and design Human Impact Assessments, with a preference for candidates based in Chicago and the flexibility to work remotely or from the Santa Clara or Bellevue offices.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive AI Ethics Framework for People systems and workforce-adjacent AI
- Serve as an independent ethics authority to pause, challenge, or escalate AI initiatives posing unacceptable risks
- Design and lead Human Impact Assessments (HIAs) for AI tools and monitor the global regulatory landscape
Required qualifications
- Advanced understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience with AI-driven solutions
- An advanced degree or equivalent applied experience in a field requiring sustained ethical reasoning
- Deep practical literacy in AI and machine learning systems to identify risks
- Demonstrated expertise in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and influence at the executive level
