AI-Focused Controller

Job Summary

Overseeing accounting operations in a fully remote capacity, the AI-Focused Controller will manage day-to-day financial activities, integrate advanced AI tools for enhanced efficiency, and ensure compliance with government contracting regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and compliance with GAAP and government regulations
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of AI and automation tools to optimize financial processes and reduce manual effort
• Support financial strategy through budgeting, forecasting, and interface with external auditors and government agencies during reviews

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of experience in accounting/financial management within a government contracting environment
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements
• Hands-on experience with Unanet or similar accounting/ERP systems used in federal contracting
