AI Governance Principal
Job Summary
To shape responsible AI governance across the enterprise, the full-time AI Governance Principal will design and implement frameworks, policies, and risk methodologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, document, and improve AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Own the governance process for AI initiatives, overseeing risk classification and ongoing oversight
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable controls for product and engineering teams
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, or policy, with a focus on AI governance
- Hands-on experience with NIST AI RMF and familiarity with the EU AI Act
- Proven ability to build governance programs and author policies from the ground up
- Experience in a software or technology environment, partnering with product and engineering teams
- Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle and ability to influence across technical and executive audiences
