AI Humanities Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance AI models with humanities insights, the part-time or full-time AI Humanities Specialist will provide high-quality data annotations and evaluations, leveraging expertise in fields such as linguistics, history, and philosophy while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, coherence, and logical reasoning
• Create exemplary datasets that reflect intellectual honesty and careful source evaluation
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design evaluation tasks that improve model behavior in humanities contexts

Required qualifications:

• Deep knowledge in at least one relevant field such as linguistics, history, or philosophy
• Ability to assess arguments for validity and soundness, relying on primary sources
• Experience in steel-manning opposing views and distinguishing settled knowledge from interpretation
• Excellent analytical writing skills in English, clear and precise
• Comfort with evolving instructions to produce high-quality annotations and critiques
