Job Summary
Leading complex mainframe transformation engagements, the full-time Consulting Principal, AI-Led Mainframe Modernization will apply generative AI and engineering capabilities to accelerate modernization efforts from discovery through cloud migration, collaborating with client executives and technical teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mainframe modernization engagements, including assessments, architecture, and cloud migration
- Define modernization strategies and transformation roadmaps utilizing AI-driven analysis and solution design
- Provide architecture and technical governance throughout the transformation lifecycle, ensuring quality and compliance with AI standards
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe applications and technologies, including COBOL and DB2
- Proven track record in delivering end-to-end mainframe modernization projects, including code conversion and cloud migration
- Experience with generative AI and LLM-enabled capabilities for modernization tasks
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture and major cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Consulting experience with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
