AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary

To support technology modernization initiatives for the FDA, the mid-senior AI/ML & LLM Engineer will design, develop, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions, working in a hybrid environment with flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI solutions to meet business requirements
• Build and maintain reusable Python components, APIs, and AI/ML pipelines while integrating AI capabilities into existing applications
• Develop applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies, including prompt engineering and evaluation approaches

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 5-8 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or AI/ML, with substantial hands-on AI/ML development experience
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Experience developing, evaluating, and integrating AI/ML models into production environments
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, along with familiarity with CI/CD and modern software development practices
