Job Summary
To lead AI/ML initiatives from planning through production, the contract AI/ML Project Manager will coordinate data scientists, ML engineers, and business stakeholders while managing project milestones and delivery in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute AI/ML projects, managing scope, milestones, risks, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the model lifecycle, ensuring timely data preparation, training, and deployment
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage backlogs in Jira, and maintain documentation in Confluence
Required qualifications
- 8-12 years of IT project management experience, including 3 years in AI/ML or data science projects
- Understanding of the ML lifecycle and MLOps tools such as SageMaker, Azure ML, or Databricks
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Proven ability to coordinate teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
