AI Program Manager

Job Summary

Leading a portfolio of IT projects, the full-time remote AI Program Manager will provide technical program leadership for the Veterans Health Administration's National Artificial Intelligence Institute, developing operational models and supporting front-line clinicians in AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical program leadership across six workstreams, aligning AI inventory, risk management, and delivery to a unified operating model
• Develop the operational playbook for the AI center of excellence, including staffing models and standard operating procedures
• Manage program performance, cost, and schedule while identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project outcomes

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of program management experience across diverse IT projects, with at least 10 years in healthcare and 5 years in AI or emerging technologies
• Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Data Science, Informatics, Business, or a related field
• Experience with the full systems development life cycle and enterprise-wide network engineering
• Familiarity with SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices to drive organizational change
• Must be authorized to work in the United States with no travel anticipated
