AI Security Architect

Job Summary

To define the target-state architecture for securing AI across Ulta Beauty, the remote AI Security Architect will lead security architecture reviews, set technical standards, and mentor the AI Engineer team on secure AI design practices in a contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Define reference architectures and technical standards for secure AI/ML adoption, including data governance and model lifecycle security
• Lead security architecture reviews for new AI initiatives, identifying risks and required controls prior to launch
• Partner with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent embedding of AI security controls across various deployments

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in security architecture or enterprise architecture roles, with recent experience in AI/ML or data platforms
• Deep understanding of AI/ML system design and associated security and privacy risks
• Strong grasp of cloud security architecture, identity and access management, and zero-trust principles
• Familiarity with AI governance and security frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications
• Demonstrated ability to communicate architecture decisions to engineering teams and executive stakeholders
