AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI security, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will own the end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations, focusing on building a robust AI security function while maintaining the organization's trust posture in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, implementing a controlled internal AI gateway and enhancing consumer-facing AI security measures
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving secure-by-design practices and managing the roadmap for application security, cloud security, and security operations
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, ensuring security compliance for fundraising and customer reviews while maintaining technical controls for SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity management and modern application security tools
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up, not just operating existing ones
• Deep understanding of AI security challenges, including prompt injection and data exfiltration risks
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and manage corporate IT functions as part of the security mission
