AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy at Engine, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering and operations, and ensure enterprise trust while operating in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving initiatives such as secure-by-design practices, automated response playbooks, and identity management across platforms
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding and sales, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while facilitating customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and security engineering practices
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to engage with executive leadership and enterprise customers on security matters
• Familiarity with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
