AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy at Engine, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will build and oversee the AI security function, enhance security engineering practices, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateway and agent identity models
• Lead security engineering teams in AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving secure design and automated response initiatives
• Oversee enterprise trust and readiness for funding diligence, managing customer security reviews and compliance controls

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in high-growth environments
• Deep technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong understanding of AI security challenges and solutions, including prompt injection and data exfiltration
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
