AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

The full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will own the end-to-end security strategy at Engine, focusing on building AI security capabilities, leading security engineering efforts, and ensuring enterprise trust while operating in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving initiatives such as secure-by-design practices and automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding diligence, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years in leadership roles, preferably through hypergrowth phases
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
• Comfortable managing corporate IT aspects as part of the security mission
