AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI security, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will build and oversee the security function at Engine, focusing on strategy, engineering, and operations to enhance security measures while managing a team dedicated to safeguarding AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, ensuring secure-by-design practices and automated response protocols
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer reviews, while maintaining compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers
• Experience managing corporate IT functions related to security, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
