AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at an AI-native company, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will establish an AI security function, oversee security engineering, and enhance operational security measures while reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the AI security function, including internal AI gateway and agent identity management
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives and security compliance, ensuring readiness for fundraising and customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years in leadership roles, preferably in hypergrowth environments
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and security engineering practices
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
• Familiarity with corporate IT governance, including identity management and SaaS administration
